Since recently writing my blog post about habits, I have followed through my goal of book reading everyday. Because of this I have chosen to review this fabulous book called ‘The Dream House’ written by Rachel Hore.
Breville Slow Cooker review
September is such a great month, good for harvesting and getting things ready for those winter months ahead. This includes thinking of what to eat on those cold evenings when you arrive home from work, tired and hungry. Because of this, I purchased the fantastic Breville Slow Cooker. This great piece of equipment will make my life easier and help me to eat delicious hot tasty food when I arrive home from work. The Breville Slow Cooker has 3 settings, low, high and keep warm. So In the morning I prepare my food in the slow cooker before heading to work. When I arrive home I can enjoy a tasty evening meal.
It’s that time of year when the hedges are plentiful with berries ready for Autumn such as the blackberry. Since my childhood I have enjoyed this delicious dessert of apple & blackberry crumble. So being sugar free I was concerned that I was no longer be able to savour this delicious dessert. While I was armed with a tub I set off in search to find some ripe plump blackberries. I enjoy picking blackberries, savouring the country air then heading back with a tub fall to the brim of tasty berries. Not forgetting my berry stained fingers.
Whilst wondering down the bustling cobbled streets of Bath, passing the elegant Georgian terraced houses, the famous Roman Baths. This city seemed to have it all, a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants constructed out of the beautiful sand stone bricks and steeped in history.
We recently decided to stay at an Airbnb and visit the gorgeous quintessential beautiful city of Bath.
As we were taking Bella, we needed to find suitable accommodation that accepted dogs. I sent a vast amount of emails to various properties and spent hours trawling through the internet. It was however with Airbnb that I eventually found a gorgeous stunning stone cottage.
Since becoming sugar free last year I knew that I would struggle with giving up sweet treats especially desserts. Therefore when I hosted my pot luck meal and a friend brought around this mouth watering chocolate cheesecake I was in heaven. To say it was delicious was an understatement and while enjoying this fabulous dessert I knew I needed this recipe. First of all she used my cacao balls recipe for the base and told me the ingredients for the topping. This cheesecake was so scrumptious I went back for seconds. It’s a fantastic dessert to take to a dinner party and an excellent alternative for afternoon tea.
This book by Hemsley and Hemsley is fantastic, it’s full of great recipes ideas which I have been sampling throughout August. It contains good and simple cooking tips which you can adapt to suit your own lifestyle. Chapter one begins with a reboot plan following a weeks programme. This gives you helpful tips and general advice about well being and pampering yourself.
I have a love hate relationship with exercise especially running. In my teens I would happily run long distances pounding the streets and coastal paths releasing endorphins and feel fantastic. However as I have grown older my love for running has dramatically decreased. Five years ago I decided to train for the Race for Life, however onced I had completed it I had no interested in running again. I don’t know why this happened, I have no plausible explanation.
