Feeling a little strapped for cash, but want to treat your face to a luxury facial? Look no further, I have found the perfect homemade face mask. These brillant masks are a cost effective way to rejuvinate your skin.. So rummage through your cupboards and create your very own diy face mask. Then sit back, relax and feel pampered whilst enjoying a little you time.

Here are 5 quick and easy masks to make and enjoy!!


A Lovely Soothing Oatmeal Mask

Oatmeal is a great natural ingredient which soothes the skin, especially if you are prone to acne or eczema. Adding honey and yogurt will make this a delightful calming and revitalising mask.

4 tbsp of oatmeal

1 tbsp of honey

1-2 tbsp of plain natural yoghurt

1/2 a cup of water

Firstly add the water to the oatmeal and stir for a few minutes before adding the honey and yoghurt. Blitz in a blender until a smooth consistency is formed. Apply to your face and leave for 10 minutes before removing.


Strawberry And Lemon Mask

This is a great mask for oily skin. So imagine a smoothie with a difference, this one is for your face. The strawberries contain salicylic acid which is great for acne prone skin, whilst the lemon will help to tighten those pores. Yoghurt and honey have their own benefical healing properties so the combination of this will remove the old dead skin cells.

7 mashed strawberries

2 tbsp of lemon juice

1 tbsp of yoghurt

1 tbsp of honey

Pour all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until a smooth puree is formed. Apply to your face for 10 minutes, then remove.


A Mask For Rosacea

The cold weather seems to leave many of our faces with blotchy as well as bumpy skin. The apple cider vinegar in this mask will help to stabilize your own skins natural ph balance. The oatmeal is a gentle exfoliator.

1.5 tbsp of oatmeal

2 tbsp of natural unsweetened yoghurt

1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp of honey

Strong home brewed green tea

Place all of the ingrediants into bowl adding the tea in small quantities until you have created a thick paste. Apply this wonderful smoothing face mask to the skin, then remove after 10- 15 minutes.


Hydrating Avocado And Honey Mask

This mask is fantstic for dry and scaling skin. The avocado and coconut oil mixed together provides you with a lovely replenishing moisture mask. Many celebraties have been known to use the avocado mask to rejuivenate their skin.

1/2 a very ripe advocado

2 tbsp of honey

1/2 tsp of coconut oil

Firstly mash the advocado then add to the other ingredients and blitz in the blender, until a creamy smooth texture is formed. Apply to your face and leave for 10-15 minutes before removing.


Banana Mask

I don’t know whether to eat this or put it on my face. Who needs botox when we have bananas, right!! Bananas are great for leaving the face feeling smooth and soft.

Mash a meduim size banana into a smooth paste. Apply to the face and leave for 10 minutes. Remove with cold water.
