We recently decided to stay at an Airbnb and visit the gorgeous quintessential beautiful city of Bath.
As we were taking Bella, we needed to find suitable accommodation that accepted dogs. I sent a vast amount of emails to various properties and spent hours trawling through the internet. It was however with Airbnb that I eventually found a gorgeous stunning stone cottage.
Situated in the quaint village of Hinton just 10 miles north of Bath is Hinton Grange Self Catering Cottages that have a variety of properties to choose from. Our choice was the Cotswold Stone Cottage.
As we stepped inside the cottage there was a hallway that ran the full length of the property, off this there were several doorways two for the bedrooms and one for the lounge/kitchen/diner.
The lounge was incredibly cosy and I could imagine cuddling up on a winters night on the sofas in front of the open fire whilst sipping wine. However on this occasion we opened the door to the private garden and enjoyed the country air. Bella was happy as she could roam freely.
The bureau contained a collection of games, maps and a variety of visitor information leaflets and the dining table would easily seat 4 for dinner.
The kitchen area was well equipped with all the essentials required. Our lovely host Angela left us with a plentiful welcome pack of wine, tea, coffee, milk, chocolate, eggs and a homemade loaf of bread.
The two spacious and elegant bedrooms contained lovely ensuite facilities each with roll top baths and power showers over.
Each room has an adequate wardrobe and chest of draws with a tv and a freesat box just like the lounge.
These delightful rooms have a stunning exposed stone walls and both also have doors that you can swing open to enjoy the garden and the wildlife.
The garden is another must have, this one was a great size, private and excellent for children and dogs. The table and chairs are ideal for you to enjoy some alfresco dining, glass of wine or even to just a cuppa a whilst relaxing in this peaceful location.
This cottage is a fantastic base for a getaway break or quality time with family and friends. Our host Angela was very welcoming, friendly and informative telling us lots of history about their little hamlet…
There is parking outside of each cottage plus a large carpark for those extra visitors.
Overall our experience with booking a place to stay from start to finish with Airbnb was pleasurable and easy, one that we shall be repeating again soon.
