On a recent visit to the dentist I over heard lots of people chatting about the weather. Don’t get me wrong I live in Cornwall so when the sun is shining you wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. But on a rainy day it’s very different.
My staycation post is sheer proof of this, but over the last few days it has been raining non stop which causes frustration for everyone.
The big question is.. what to do on a rainy day?? here are 15 things you could do.
There is nothing more rewarding then eating some delicious homemade goodies in the comfort of your home, whilst the rain is pounding against the window.
Get all of your old magazines, newspapers, anything with words and pictures, cut out and stick onto a piece of paper. It’s lovely looking at what you have chosen and working out why.
Watch a movie
It’s hard to find time in our busy lives to sit and watch a movie, grab yourself a drink and some treats and indulge in a movie day.
No matter what age you are, we can all play board games, I love playing games it reminds me of my childhood holidays.
I’ve got to say I rarely have a bath, I’m a fan of showers, but allowing myself to have a lovely warm soak in a bath full of bubbles is pure luxury.
This is a great time to look at your life and think of all of things to be grateful for. A recent book I have read The Law of Attraction implies that positive thoughts create positive experiences.
Taking up a new hobby is a great idea, giving you the chance to research and start your new venture.

How often do you get the chance to draw or paint something you like. You may be surprised how much you enjoyed it.
Snuggle up with a great book and being transported to another world, I am a huge fan of reading.
This is such an amazing thing to do for yourself, switch off from the outside world and enjoy this peaceful time for you.
I am a huge fan of de-cluttering, create space for new objects to come into your life. Out with the old and embrace the new.
Sometimes I just like to rearrange the furniture in my house, making use of different spaces and areas. It feels like I’ve achieved something and gives the room a different feeling.
Contact friends or family and arrange to have a potluck meal, everyone brings a plate of something different for all to share.
Go for a swim at the local pool, then relax afterwards with a jacuzzi letting those worries melt away.
I love trying to juggle, even if I’m rubbish at it I still like to try, I always end up laughing.
I love listening to music and hearing the lyrics, sometimes I want to relax and unwind but other times I want to get up and dance around.
