Gossip!!

Don’t gossip!

Why?

Because it is a derogatory conversation about other people, which can be a betrayal of confidence and in the long term can cause an enormous about of hurt.

Through research I have found that people who gossip have a high level of anxiety. Don’t get me wrong other peoples lives fascinate me, that is why I chose to read biographies, I want to hear the journey from the people who have experienced issues etc and are ready to share these with me as a reader.

A book for June – The Happiness Project

I have recently read this book and I can tell you that it has changed my life..

Gretchen Rubin has a moment of realisation when she was traveling on a bus in the city and from that moment her life was about to change. She cleverly shares her experiences and wisdom with you throughout this book. I love the way she brakes her goals into chunks and tries to accomplish them over 12 months whilst analysing her progress. Her insight and the research she carries out is amazing, informative and interesting. Within the book I totally resonated with the second chapter…

The Movie Alice Through The Looking Glass

For the last day of my staycation it decided to rain, so I spent part of my day relaxing and reading other blog posts before heading out to the local cinema to watch Disney’s Alice Through The Looking Glass.
I had previously watched Alice In Wonderland and enjoyed the characters being brought to life, so much so I thought that this would be a great movie choice.

A Day In Falmouth

Today I thought I would stay in my home town of Falmouth and have a little wonder through before heading out to the beach.

A bit of history about Falmouth

Falmouth is situated on the South West Coast of Cornwall and is the first and last good harbour along the South Coast of England, it is home to Pendennis Castle which was built in 1540 by Henry VIII to defend the Carrick Roads. Along with the Carrick Roads Falmouth is the third deepest natural harbour in the world and the deepest in Western Europe, it was used by the Packet Service for over 160 years to deliver mail to and from Britains growing empire. In 1805 Falmouth was the landing point for Schooner Pickle which was carrying the news of Britains victory and also the sad news of Admiral Nelsons death at the Battle of Trafalgar, this news then left Falmouth by Stagecoach bound for London.
