A Book For May – I Quit Sugar

After launching a book of the month in April, I was wondering which book to select for May, there are so many fabulous and interesting reads to choose from… However, I quit sugar around this time last year and with so much media attention and the sugar tax I thought this would be a fantastic book to share. This superb, insightful read is called I Quit Sugar, this has helped to wean me off of my sugar addiction and curb my sweet cravings. Sarah Wilson has some good tips, helpful guides and delicious recipes to support you through this transition.

Camping Experience with Canopy and Stars

With spring in the air and summer fast approaching I’m guessing we are all thinking about our holidays for this year.. Living in Cornwall, camping is a firm favourite pastime or holiday adventure…. but with this terrible weather we have been having its no fun camping in the rain. Being a lover of the great outdoors I was thinking how I could have that camping experience without getting really wet. Mr p and I have used Canopy & Stars previously when we had a night in a house boat as our first wedding anniversary adventure. So I thought I would take a look and see what other accommodation they had on their website and which ones I thought would give me that camping experience without getting soaked.

Embrace Life Whatever your Age

Whilst visiting the hair dressers last week I stumbled across a fantastic article in the Good Housekeeping magazine written about Fern Britton.. This incredible lady is turning 60 next year and I couldn’t quite believe it…. Throughout her interview she expressed that ageing doesn’t frighten her, how she stays fit and how very lucky she is to have been given the opportunity to write of which she clearly enjoys….
This line was quite a powerful for me, she said “I can see and feel the joy in life more now than I used to”

iWalkCornwall

I found this amazing website (iWalkCornwall) a few months ago, its full of wonderful walks around Cornwall. Also I noticed that they had a free App and thought we could use it to walk around Ladock (a beautiful little village just on the outskirts of Truro), the walk we chose was brilliant, it was 5 miles long and took us on a good route, with clear concise directions, it was safe for Bella and very picturesque. The route took us off the beaten track, through fields, past farms and over stiles…. you never quite know where it’s going to lead you and what the scenery will be surrounding you.
