Vision Board

January seems to feel like such a slow and long month with dark mornings and evenings, who wouldn’t want to hibernate!! At times I want to pull the duvet over my head and curl up in a ball until the spring, thats why I use January to make my vision board. It’s the start of a New Year, the weather isn’t great and I love thinking about what the year ahead of me will bring. Having my ideas, goals and dreams there in front of me to see by using inspiring quotes to keep me motivated. Making the vision board is easy I use either an A3 or A4 piece of coloured paper/card and a pile of magazines.

I enjoy looking at the magazines and ripping out pictures and words which I use to reflect upon throughout the year, it’s very uplifting and therapeutic getting lost in my own thoughts. The reason for the vision board is to help me remember what I wanted at the start of the year and it’s much better than writing resolutions in dairy or book which would be in a cupboard, having the board where I can see it really inspires me. Once I start ripping out images and words there is no stopping me I always end up with too many and needing to narrow it down to what is really important. Each year it seems to be very different, which is what I like, it’s ever changing, a real motivator to keep me inspired and up lifted through my daily life. Once completed I normally blue tac it to my wardrobe, it’s fantastic seeing it first thing in the morning and last thing at night, keeping my goals and dreams alive.

This is also a great thing to do on a rainy day with the children, something creative and inspiring for everyone.
